Avoid being scammed

Most of the profiles on the dating sites are people who are lonely, looking for love or at least sex... but because some of us are also vulnerable in our loneliness, we are prone to attack by vultures who are out to deceive you and steal your heart and sometimes try to steal your money.


To counter scams, be sure any email you use is a throw away, is obscure and does not disclose anything that can be traced to you. Never tell your real name on a dating site. Use a nickname and no last names. Even a phone number is a problem because you can be traced with it. All of that can be disclosed later, after you meet and trust the person. Absolutely never give out your bank information, S.I.N or credit card numbers to anyone!
